Ben

Ben

Ben, who will be 2 in September, is looking for a family who will love and support him to enable him to flourish.

He is always happy and smiling and loves adult attention. He is very affectionate and loves giving cuddles. Ben is a sociable little boy who loves other children and is into everything! Ben particularly enjoys walks, his big toy truck and climbing and sliding on his big indoor slide!

Ben has thrived in the care of his foster carer and now needs a family who can adopt him, who will continue to nurture and care for him.

Ben has significant health needs, when he was a few months old, he was hospitalised as he was seriously ill with renal failure and seizures. Ben has suffered some brain damage, the full extent of which is not yet known. He is also registered 'visually impaired'.

Ben has some developmental delay and is not yet walking although he is now cruising along with the support of furniture, pulling up to stand and climbing!  Ben is babbling but is not yet forming words, it is likely Ben will need some support from speech and language services in the near future.  Ben's foster carer describes Ben as a 'special, resilient little boy who is working hard to explore his environment and achieve his milestones'.

This is a real-life case study. We have changed the child's names and the image is posed by a model to protect their identity.
